2019 Raymont New Student Bursary Promotion: Terms and Conditions of Entry

We’re delighted you want to enter in the 2019 Raymont New Student Bursary promotion.

This document is our “terms and conditions”. If you want to enter the promotion, you’ll need to adhere to a few things that we’ve outlined for you below.

As with any promotion, if you don’t comply with these terms, we have the right to disqualify you or declare you ineligible so it’s important to take note of these terms.

Us and you

The Raymont New Student Bursary Promotion is conducted by Raymont Residential College of 47 Cadell Street Auchenflower Queensland 4066 Australia – that includes “Raymont”, “we”, “us” and “our”.

Any reference to “you” or “your” includes you in your personal capacity.

Who can enter?

In order to enter the promotion, you need to:

  • Live in Australia and be an Australian citizen or resident
  • Not currently be a resident at Raymont
  • Not be employed by us
  • Have completed Year 12 in 2019 and be commencing tertiary study in 2020 when entries close on 14 November 2019

You also won’t be able to enter if we have a current financial relationship with you.

We encourage all people to apply who meet the above conditions.

How do you enter?

To enter, you need to:

  • Comply with these terms;
  • Submit your contact details where we are
    • Exhibiting
    • Attending a school visit
    • Have representative attending to present information
  • Become a resident at Raymont in 2020 for a minimum of 6 months.

We can make your entry ineligible or disqualify you if we think you that is illegal, fraudulent, can cause harm to us and our reputation, or if you provide any false or misleading information. If this happens, we can withdraw the bursary that you’ve been awarded. We may also ask that you no longer promote yourself as being associated with Raymont. This clause survives the expiration of any residency at Raymont.

Make sure you read those conditions carefully as we take the integrity of our college the bursary seriously. We’re proud of the Raymont, it’s residents and our alumni.

When is the recipient chosen?

Registrations close for bursary close on 14 November 2019.

A bursary recipient will be chosen 15 January 2020.

The recipient will be notified by phone and email.

A presentation will be made at our opening dinner of 2020.

Bursary conditions
The bursary is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

The bursary will be applied as a discount to your fees.

If you commence residency in semester 1 of tertiary study in 2020, the bursary will be applied by 31 May 2020. If you commence residency in semester 2 of tertiary study in 2020, the bursary will be applied by 31 October 2020.

General need-to-know

This is not a game of skill or chance. The bursary is awarded.

We do not provide feedback on entries or how the bursary is awarded.

We may review publicly available information regarding you including on websites, social media and in media activity in assessing a bursary winner.

If you are awarded the bursary you may be required to participate in promotions associated with Raymont during your residency. We will endeavour to give you at least seven calendar days’ notice of the time, date and location of promotional activity you may be requested for and the party requesting the promotion.

In any promotion or endorsement of the Raymont or the bursary you should only express opinions that are genuinely held by you.

What do we do with your information?

We collect personal information other information relating to you in various ways, such as in the interest registration form, interaction/communication with us and across digital platforms.

If you do not provide information as requested, unfortunately you cannot participate in the promotion.

All contact details and information gathered from initial contact through to registering your interest, applying to become a resident and during your time as a resident become our property.

By participating in the promotion, you consent for us to use and disclose your personal information in for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy available at raymont.com.au/privacy-policy.

Your personal information can also be disclosed to our related entities, agencies and other third parties engaged to provide services in connection with the promotion, in order to:

  • Market to you (including by email, SMS/MMS, mail, social media and telephone), including contacting you after your residency ends;
  • Administer the promotion;
  • Invite you to be part of initiatives including case studies, polls/surveys and opportunities;
  • Improve our or our related entities’ products and services.

You agree that your consent continues with us unless otherwise withdrawn. If you wish to withdraw your consent to receive marketing material from us, email us on admin@raymont.com.au. 

The small print

You will at all times indemnify, keep indemnified, defend and hold harmless us and our respective officers, employees and agents from and against any loss (including reasonable legal costs and expenses).

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

We have the right to alter or cancel part or all of the promotion at any time without notice to you.

By entering the completion, you agree to submit to the laws of Queensland and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place and the courts of appeal from them.
